Today we visited the Lost Garden of Heligan. From the campsite you have direct access to the garden car park. I highly recommend this garden to anyone who likes flowers. The overgrown sculptures, the Jungle Way with exotic plants, the complex with greenhouses from around 1900 are beautiful. Amazing what thrives in this climate 🤩

There is a beautiful coastal road between St Nur and St Yves. On the way is a secluded little restaurant with a beautiful view. Be sure to check opening times on the internet in advance. Cornish Cream Tea (tea, scones, jam and clotted cream) taste great. I recommend allowing enough time, as there are many beautiful hikes possible through the moor.

Since we are driving back quickly, we were looking for a place near Salisbury today. In the evening we went for a walk to the nearest pub. Walk about 30 minutes. We can highly recommend the Fox & Goose pub. Good food and nice hosts. The host at the campsite is also very helpful and will be happy to explain the way to the pub☺️

On the way home we still got hungry 😃 We are just off the motorway and discovered this cozy restaurant. Good regional cuisine with local products is served. The pork ragout in a mustard sauce with fresh vegetables (pluma de porc) was tender as butter. The restaurant is right next to the Château Haroué, which is also worth seeing.

In Restaurants sind Hunde auf dem Land (Pubs) meistens kein Problem. In Städten jedoch teilweise schon. So haben wir in Canterbury lange suchen müssen.
Museen wie zum Beispiel das Minack Theater oder Indoor Museen sind Hunde odt nicht erlaubt. Freilicht Museen wie Clovelly oder the Lost Garden of Heligan dürfen Hunde an der Leine mit.

Wir waren zwischen Auffahrt und Pfingsten 18.-29.5. Da kaum Reisende unterwegs waren war keine Reservation der Plätze notwendig. Wir sind immer spontan hingefahren. Das wechselte jedoch schlagartig vor Pfingsten da in England Springbreak Holiday -Frühlingsferien begannen. Alle Kinder haben schulfrei. In Canterbury haben wir mit Glück den letzten Platz erwischt. Auf dem Zug mussten wir länger anstehen. Die Plätze haben wir mit Google und FREEONTOUR gefunden. Preislich waren die Plätze zwischen 28 und 67 Pfund. Im Schnitt um 30 Pfund. Canterbury war teuer mit 67 Pfund. Ich hoffe ich konnte Ihnen helfen und wünsche jetzt schon viel Freude bei der Reise ☺️

Hallo, eine sehr schöne Reise. Danke für die wunderschönen Bilder und die Beschreibungen. Ich kenne einige Orte von früheren Reisen, aber ich war noch nicht mit meinem Van dort. Ich plan nächstes Jahr in die Gegend zu fahren. Habt ihr eure Campingplätze vorgebucht, oder seit ihr auf gut Glück gefahren und wie seit ihr an die Adressen für Stellplätze auf privaten Gelände gekommen?
