800 liters of sulphurous water at a temperature of 37 degrees flow out of the thermal spring every second. The water comes to the surface after 30 kilometers in Saturnia and pours over the Cascate del Mulino . Bathing in the naturally created sinter pools is free and freely accessible.

Hallo Ihr Lieben, eine klasse Tour. Wir planen dieses Jahr fast genau die selbe Tour nur anders herum. Danke für die Tipps die sehr hilfreich sind. Wir wünschen Euch weiterhin schöne Reisen und bleibt gesund. Vija und Bernd
Hallo ihr Zwei,
eine wunderschöne Tour die ihr hier abgefahren habt.
Viele kleine unbekannte Highlights die auch ich als Italien Fan noch nicht kannte.
Auch wir planen in diesem Jahr ab Mitte September für 3 Wochen nach Süditalien zu fahren. Einige eurer Wegpunkte werde ich dabei mit einbauen.
Vielen Dank auch für die jeweils kurze Beschreibung zu den Hotspots, dadurch kann man sich viel leichter etwas darunter vorstellen als nur durch die Angabe von Wegpunkten.

freue mich, dass dir/euch unsere Route gefällt.
Ich denke, dass auch Anfänger nach Süditalien fahren können. Bedenkt nur:
- es sind doch einige hundert (tausend) Kilometer; also genügend Zeit einplanen und Popometer muss geduldig sein
- ab Anfang Oktober sind auch in (Süd)Italien immer mehr Campingplätze geschlossen; deshalb früher am Nachmittag suchen oder per Internet-App gut planen (die Öffnungszeiten online stimmen aber nicht immer). Man kann dafür im Oktober auch schon mal an einem sonst überfüllten Strand problemlos alleine übernachten. Mit unserem WoMo sind wir 3-4 Tage autark (Strom, Wasser, Abwasser).
- die von uns besuchten Orte sind im alten Kern selten WoMo-tauglich weil eng; da muss man dann halt auch mal zu Fuss oder mit dem Fahrrad oder Scouter ein paar Meter machen.
Wir wünschen euch auf alle Fälle einen schönen Urlaub und tolle Erlebnisse!
