Senja, Lofoten in autumn

Strong point from our home base. We are really looking forward to our vacation.

Before we take the ferry to Denmark 🇩🇰 tomorrow morning, we're staying here tonight. 50 m from the Baltic Sea. Perfect pitch to start your holiday.

Things continue at 6 a.m. in the morning. After a quiet night, we are standing at the ferry port in Puttgarden and waiting a few minutes for our ferry.

We have pre-booked, so it goes very quickly.

Like last year, we are looking forward to driving over the Øresund Bridge. Always spectacular, this view.

We're now heading towards Jönkoping. The goal is to get to the Lofoten Islands quickly. So we step on the gas. Let's see how far we get

In the middle of nature directly on a lake Lisjön. Looking at it is just amazing. I also started my first attempts at fishing here. Not easy. But ejecting it worked.

Breakfast break and driver change

After driving very quickly through Sweden, we reached our destination, the Lofoten. Sleeping in this spot today, with a view of the Reinehaben.

Paid parking space at the bridge to Fredvang. The bridge is a great photo opportunity. The view of Volandstinden is incredibly beautiful.

This time we don't go to Fredvang but stay on the E10. Also take a few side streets with you to see the area. It's quite windy today, so we're driving a bit more today.

Short walk by the fjord

Brilliant location for northern lights. Unfortunately not this year, but there are great clouds and a beautiful play of light. Last year we also observed small porpoises here

There is a campground with disposal right on the beach

There are worse places to sleep. There is currently no height limit, so we can drive very close to the beach.

We paid 160 NOK (approx. 15 euros)

Escaping the storm we drove further along the beach. Here we are a little more protected.

Our parking space for the night was 1 km away, right on the road. It was ok and not that loud. Because we planned to return to church the next morning.

Possibility to refill the gas bottles. Last year we had our water pump replaced here. Small camping shop.

We made our way to Senja and slept on the E10. A little off. At night we had the northern lights. It was also very cold.

We stand alone at the Gryllefjord tonight. Great view.

Right on a lake, the chance of seeing the northern lights. It was ice cold, even the lenses fogged up and froze.

There wasn't really much to see in terms of snow covered landscape and roads. We are standing here in a parking lot, right next to a lake that is already frozen over.

Tonight we stood by a small lake. In summer you can swim, there is a fireplace.

Near Sundsf

• At 125 meters high, 90 meters of which are free fall, Njupeskär is the highest waterfall in Sweden. It is located in Dalarna County near the Norwegian border on the northeastern edge of the Fulufjäll Mountains and is one of the biggest attractions in Fulufjället National Park.
