Super nice city. Parking space for mobile homes reported without further service. 3.30 euros for 24 hours in the low season. Perfect.

The pitch in Pamplona is again very good. 10 euros for 24 hours including V/E, electricity and water.
It is about 1.5 km to the old town
This time of year is great for strolling. Hardly anything going on. For a beer we got a cookie in the 🌞.
Here again our impressions in pictures :-)

Made a stop at the Yesa dam today. Without accommodation. We took a short hike to a small ruined village and then enjoyed a coffee in the sun at the dam.

Today was hiking day. First we visit the cave dwellings that were inhabited until 1960.
After that we did another 11 km hike through a small part of the semi-desert. Unfortunately, the signage wasn't great and we got lost several times

Made another short stop in the desert today and looked at the spectacular rock formations. Films, video clips and commercials have been shot here.

We then drove on to Madrid. So far everything without toll. The roads are really very good to drive and compared to those I know so well (A1, A2 and A7 in Germany) there is almost nothing going on on the autobahns.
Around 5 p.m. we reached the Osuna campsite in Madrid. We hadn't reserved in advance and there was so much vacancy we had free seating. 10 minutes walk to the metro to get to the city center in about 25 minutes. We'll do that tomorrow.

Spent the whole day in Madrid today. With the metro (station about 10 minutes walk from the campsite).
8.60 euros per person per day.
I have never experienced it in such a structured and clear manner. The routes and lines are clearly laid out and also colour-coded. And if you look sparingly, there is immediately someone at your side who wants to help.
Really great!
We need a few minutes until we have found the orientation.
Then it wasn't that difficult to head for some sights.
Here are a few impressions. Unfortunately, you couldn't really get all of these huge houses and buildings on the photo.
We were still able to take a few nice snapshots.
By the way.. today we ran 17.5 kilometers in 6.5 hours

We skipped a few stops to make some progress.
We started at 11 a.m. and covered a good 550 kilometers in about 7 hours. Of course with a coffee break, shopping and refueling.
EDDI annoyed us again today. There is a fault somewhere in the starter battery. The dashboard was dead for a short time and the fat one didn't want to start anymore. By jerking at the battery connections, EDDI was compliant again... Man man.
We then arrived safely at the Villsom campsite in Dos Hermanas. We'll stay here for 3 nights. The place is quite large but the pitches are very small and narrow. But lots of greenery, orange trees and palm trees surround the pitches.
Tomorrow we'll take the public transport to Seville for a sightseeing tour.

Around 12 o'clock we made our way to Seville. A short walk from the campsite to the bus stop. (You can get a map of the city and all the information you need at reception) For €1.75 a head you can drive a good 20 kilometers to the center of Seville.
The Plaza de España was the first sight on the plan.
Then we strolled comfortably into the city and looked at the cathedral (but only from the outside) It's really bombastic. And the cozy little streets with shops, bars and restaurants...
Finally, we looked at the bullring. The second largest arena in Spain after Madrid (Don't worry, there was NO fight) But traditionally these fights still take place.
Oh, by the way, the whole city smells like oranges 😀

At first glance, things looked a little bleak. But the further we got into the center, the place turned out to be quite attractive. However, foreign tourists don't really seem to be attracted here.
We then settled down in a bar and enjoyed a beer or two in the sun at 34 degrees.
And where it is not touristy, a beer (0.3 L) costs only €1.50. There was also a typical local specialty for free.
But there are not many pictures today.
Tomorrow we'll continue towards Gibraltar (if EDDI wants) :😉

Today's destination was La Linea de la Concepcion overlooking the marina just before the border with Gibraltar.
Here we stand for 14 euros/24 hours.
We just walked through the city. We don't really like it here. So we went over to England without further ado.
But the weather wasn't on our side either. Very, very windy and very cloudy. Temperatures around 16 degrees.
Here are our impressions.
We had considered going over to Africa by ship, but for 2 people there and back without a car it costs between 110 and 125 euros. That was a bit too much for us to go for a walk "over there".

today we were out and about in the beautiful city of Ronda all day. I am very sugared by this beautiful little town ❤️
We let ourselves drift and eventually stopped for tapas and beer in a small bar in the sun.

arrived in Ardales this afternoon after about 60 kilometers. It wasn't easy to find a parking space in the small town, but again we were lucky. We are somewhat hidden above the dam for free. Our goal is the hike 'Caminito del Rey' (once Europe's most dangerous hiking trail until 2001) after which it was renovated and renovated and has been accessible again since 2015.
The path is a good 7.5 km long and a one-way street. There is no turning back on this path.
We just got 2 tickets for 30 euros each (everything fully booked even at this time of the year) and off we went. (I could post 100 photos here, but I have to choose 14) so there you go 😀

today we arrived at the next stopover after about 215 kilometers. The pitch is not really nice. Very narrow pitches and outdated sanitary facilities. But 14 euros for 2 people with electricity and V/E. Well, tomorrow morning we'll be gone again.
The place here is not big and surrounded by plastic greenhouses as far as the eye can see.
But so far we have also discovered something beautiful in every place.

Now we are about 10 kilometers before the actual destination on Route 66 on a free space. The whole area is still under construction. We were told that you can stand here for 5 euros. But so far nobody has wanted money from us 😀 We ate and drank well in the restaurant.
By the way.... if we buy vegetables and salad etc. from Spain, you should really know how they are grown here. We must have driven 100 kilometers only past plastic fields. Only greenhouses to the right and left of the motorway. Partly down to the beach regions... It's not nice, but people have to earn money

today we went 10 kilometers further to the place where many westerns were filmed. For example Bud Spencer films, commercials for Pepsi with David Backham and many others.
Included in the price (70 euros for 2 nights/2 people and entry to the western town) were the parking space with electricity (adapters have to be borrowed for a deposit, showers and toilets are only available from 6 p.m. Yes, it's a bit strange.
But we think it's great in the wild west 😀

The bay is great. For one night you pay 7.50 euros for everything. But you have to be self-sufficient. V/E is available. And there's a fries/beer stand. It's enough for a few days 😉
Addendum: A roll and cake delivery service also comes around 9:00 a.m

Shortly after Alicante 3 parking spaces controlled. ALL full. At a parking space (Camper Área Campello Beach) opposite there is a fairly large, let's say meadow, where we stood free with 7 other campers. A German has been here for the 2nd night and says that's no problem. You won't be sent away. Wonderful. A few meters further is the sea with a kilometer-long promenade. Some restaurants are already open there. Very nice.

today we drove to Valencia. So by my mistake even 30 kilometers too far, because I stupidly entered the wrong campsite in the route planner.
So back again... but then found the right place. Is not the prettiest but about 19 kilometers from the center of Valencia and with a train connection.
That's on the agenda for tomorrow.
Don't be surprised by the photos. The EDDI has problems with his left eye and is getting a new lens these days 😀
Unfortunately, there is not much to see in these small towns, so only a few pictures

Today we went to Valencia for a stroll through the city.
Here on the parking lot we could easily get the tourist tickets and could use the metro, bus and train immediately. Everything really simple and clear.
Off we went... Day 1 of impressions

today the second day in Valencia. But only in the late afternoon. Before that we chilled out in the sun (already got a bit of a sunburn) then we went back into town. Do a little shopping and then go out for a nice meal. And Valencia in the evening is beautiful too.

The approach was very nice. Lots of flowering almond trees instead of plastic fields. Since it went through the national park, 2 kilometers were definitely very adventurous to drive. Gravel road with potholes and larger stones. But very slowly our EDDI managed to do that.
Arrived at the place we were even welcomed in German. We got a nice big place.
We're staying here for 5 days. We will hike a little here again and rest alternately.
100 meters away is a small stretch of beach that belongs to the campsite. But it is not a beautiful long sandy beach but small, rocky bays. But a lot of peace and nature. Really nice.

After we just sat here in the sun yesterday and I was also ill with a bad cold, we went through the grounds again today. 16 kilometers up and down the coast.
And because it's really nice here, we're extending our stay by 2 days.
Tonight we went to the in-house restaurant for dinner. It was delicious again. Kudos to the chef and the service. And with translation apps, there are no more communication problems. You just feel good here 😀

Today was the best summer weather here. Have a nice breakfast outside and later sunbathe by the sea. While one goes swimming, the other is looking for shells 😉

Well, unfortunately I don't have much to tell you today. It actually rained a bit this morning. By noon everything was fine again. Then we borrowed bikes. Mountain bike without battery for 10 euros for half a day. We then went to town (about 4 kilometers) to go shopping and have coffee. Alcossebre is a small town consisting of 80% apartments or rental accommodation. But there is a nice long sandy beach there. Not much was booked at this time of the year. But many restaurants and cafes are open. We paid 3.20 euros for a cappuccino and a café americano. You can't complain about that. Unfortunately we didn't see anything really outstanding in town. So no photos today
Oh yes, it's been a few days but...hey we hiked 69 kilometers in February. Hello! That's definitely worth a thumbs up 😀

Area Sosta Camper Tamariu
driven. A place for old and new hippies (you can still smoke here 😀) right by the sea in a cul-de-sac. A fairly small place and the pitches are not large. 85% German campers. The night without electricity for 10 euros Electricity extra for 5 euros. A restaurant right on the square with German dishes. But tastes very good. We also immediately made a nice acquaintance and there were seven of us eating in the restaurant.
Of course we were also out and about in town and on the beach... great, great, great. There is NOT a hotel here, only pretty holiday homes and apartments, a long beautiful sandy beach and flamingos that are white like swans 😉 I recommend this place for vacation.

Today we covered almost 200 kilometers.
Just before Barcelona to the Tres Estrellas campsite.
https://www.tresestrellascampings.com/barcelona/
Here we stay 3 nights. The place is quite big. There are plots of all sizes, rental houses, supermarket, restaurant, pool (currently closed), playground, barbecue areas and much more.
The beach is beautiful too.
We got one of the largest pitches. Second row to the beach. For 1 night we pay 30 euros.
However, it is not a place for people looking for peace. The airport and the motorway are in the immediate vicinity.
But that doesn't bother us. We want to spend 2 days in Barcelona.
The bus stop is within walking distance.
For 2.40 euros per person (one way) you can get to the center of Barcelona.
More information will follow tomorrow 👍

This morning we took the bus to Barcelona.
The outward journey took about 45 minutes. We drove to the end station, that was in the middle of the city.
We were previously advised that we should determine the attractions we want to visit in advance and then head for them in a targeted manner. Otherwise you stand like an ox in front of the barn door and don't know where to go.
That's how we did it. The goal for today was the park "Güell" designed by Antoni Gaudí
We still had to take the metro a bit to get there. We then bought a tourist ticket for 18.50 euros. This ticket is valid for 48 hours and you can use all public transport. We took the metro for 10 minutes to Güellpark.
Entry to the park was 10 euros per person without an audio guide. We spent a good 2.5 hours there.
Then we walked 2.5 kilometers to the Sagrada Familia (Basilica). It is Gaudi's main work.
(I will visit them from the inside tomorrow) 😊👍
Finally, we took the metro to the market hall again. Strolled around there.
That was enough for today. Shortly before 6 p.m. we were back on the bus back to the campsite. The drive back took 1 hour due to traffic.
That's enough for today. Tomorrow we're going again 🙂

Today we went back into the big city. I had a ticket for the Sagrada Familia.
Micha didn't want to come with me. I had a ticket for the basilica (26 euros) and one for the towers (10 euros)
And I absolutely loved it. I'm now a total Gaudi fan 😀 But you can also skip the towers.
FYI: to enter the basilica there is a security check like at the airport. But I didn't know that. So, unsuspectingly, I went in with a backpack including a bottle of water and electronic devices. BUT, no problem. After everything was examined, I was allowed to take everything with me.
I spent a total of 1.5 hours there.
The next goal was the Castell de Montjuïc (fortress, castle, defense system)
Here we took the cable car (up and down for 15 euros per person) you can also walk
For the Castell we paid another 9 euros per person. From up here you have a fantastic view of the city and the harbour. Wonderful 🤩

Well, now we have arrived at Camping Joncar Mar in Roses.
Here we stay 4 nights and unfortunately this is our last stop in Spain 😥😢😥
We are already about 50 kilometers from the French border. The weather isn't great here today. 15 degrees and strong wind. Therefore only a few pictures today.

So I'm not so convinced of the campsite we're at. People here are constantly cleaning their cars and stuff. It also seems kind of impersonal. Well, let's make the best of it 😉 Unfortunately it was cloudy all day today. But it was windless and mild. We explored the place a little. It is purely a tourist place. On our exploration tour we discovered the Bodega Joan Albert and stocked up on red and white sangria from the cask. (Tasting included) A great wine merchant. Later we made ourselves comfortable in a beach bar and in the evening we went to "Las Palmeras" for tapas (so delicious) 😋😋😋

Since the weather left a lot to be desired today, we took the bus to Figueres, about 20 kilometers away.
There we visited the Dalí Museum.

17 euros entry per person. The whole thing is super interesting. We spent a good 2 hours there and were fascinated and amused by the art 🙃 crazy guy. Was really worth it.

evening walk

unfortunately it wasn't enough for sunbathing again today. The wind is quite fresh.
So we strolled back and forth through the city. A little food here, a little drink there. In between some shopping.
This is how we ended our time here.
Tomorrow we're off to France

Now we are on a pitch at the marina in Saint Cyprien "flot bleu park" (about 19 kilometers from Perpignan)
The parking space costs 10.10 euros for 24 hours including electricity and waste disposal.
The individual parking spaces are quite tight, but there was so much free that you don't have to stand close together.
The environment here is very quiet and a beautiful beach can be reached on foot in 10 minutes.
Unfortunately, there is currently no bus to Perpignan from here, although a connection is indicated here at a bus stop?? Maybe it's still too early in the year that it's not worth it just yet.

Today we drove a good 280 kilometers in 4.5 hours. Actually, we had planned to stop in Montpellier. However, most campsites only open in April and May. The opportunities I found were overpriced and/or poorly rated. Then we drove on to Nimes and a bit further to Remoulins.
Since we don't drive any toll roads, getting here was a bit adventurous at times. Lots of roundabouts, narrow streets and very small towns with those nasty bumps every few meters. That was exhausting. Hard to master with any car larger than EDDI.
Arrived here (Aire de camping-cars "Flot bleu") I found a nice little pitch. Access with the PASS'ETAPES card (that wasn't easy at all. Luckily you can get this card at the terminal here. But I probably wouldn't have managed it without the help of a German fellow camper. (The story is a bit longer and I want to be here I will not go into further details) For 24 hours we pay 13.50 euros including electricity and V/E
Of course, we then took a quick look at the area. If I can find any worthwhile sights, we might stay another night.

Today we continued a good 260 kilometers in over 4 hours. Of these, 30 kilometers were highways 😎 Otherwise only country roads and villages. But definitely 100 kilometers along the Rhône. Beautiful area 😍
We drove to a parking space about 30 kilometers above Lyon (seen from our direction of travel). The place is very large and natural and not even a quarter occupied. 24 hours including mobile, 2 people and electricity for 13.86 euros. There are also sanitary buildings but they are closed. However, there is a public toilet on the playground next to the parking space.
The river "Saône" runs right next to the square. Here you can go for a wonderful walk and just be 😊

But we weren't out today. But too broken. But I took a few pictures from the car and from the pitch.

and it continued a little over 200 kilometers to about 30 kilometers above (from our point of view) Dijon.
Here we are on a small, simple pitch (max. 16 pitches) Camping Car Park. Unfortunately, the payment machine is not working. The screen you use to pay is "frozen" we did get onto the pitch, but we'll see if we can get down without any problems tomorrow. You pay on departure 😏
We didn't go any further today to see the place. Temperatures are approaching those in northern Germany. 7 degrees SEVEN 😪 That's why there are hardly any photos

now it is time. We have reached our last stop in France.
After we could actually only leave the pitch this morning with telephone help from customer service 🤪 we are stranded a good 200 kilometers further between Nancy and Metz on the Moselle.
11 euros for 24 hours including electricity, water, shower, toilet and V/E directly at the marina. You can't complain about that 👌😊
And since we were here quite early, we went to the city for a short tour

And since we were here quite early, we went to the city for a short tour
Here is a "short" summary of our trip.
So we are total
- Driven 6566 kilometers. On average, EDDI
- 11 liters per 100 kilometers needed.
The total fuel costs amounted to
- 1274.52 euros.
For pitches and campsites (incl. electricity and water) we have a total
- 888.57 euros paid.
Groceries (also a drugstore and a little bit for EDDI) and going out to eat went along
- 1414.61 euros to book.
Admissions and visits cost us
- 170.00 euros
For travel tickets (metro, bus, train, cable car) we have
- 203.60 euros spent.
Then we ever
- Spent €20 on a 100GB Orange data card.
1 x at the machine in the shop without a contract and 1 x with a contract in another
store/city)
(unfortunately we didn't quite understand for how long the use is intended
was)
Then we used 3.5 bottles of gas due to the time of year.
We still had 2 full German bottles and we had to exchange 2 Spanish ones. I bought the Spanish (red) bottle used in Germany. So there were no problems with the exchange. Adapter on it and it fits the German connection.
The exchange at the gas station cost
- 15.54 euros and at the campsite
- 20.00 euros.
If we had electricity on the pitches, we used a fan heater to save gas.
Then we still have approx.
- Spent 30 euros to do laundry.
And here are the total costs for 2 months/2 people
Tadaaa = ➡️4058.98 euros ⬅️
A good 1250.00 euros per person and month was in our budget.
The season itself wasn't bad. We got a parking space everywhere except for 1 time. Buses and trains were not overcrowded and you could go sightseeing and hiking in peace without being crushed. No long queues when visiting and always a place in the sun for tapas and beer.
However, it was still very fresh and windy at night and some days.
We'd better start the next trip to Spain in March 😉😎
I hope you had some fun joining us on the journey.
Happy Easter to you all.
Until the next adventure, many greetings Mirja & Micha

hier mal eine "kurze" Zusammenfassung unserer Reise.
Wir sind also insgesamt
- 6566 Kilometer gefahren. Im Durchschnitt hat EDDI
- 11 Liter auf 100 Kilometer gebraucht.
Die Gesamtspritkosten beliefen sich auf
- 1274,52 Euro.
Für Stell- und Campingplätze (inkl. Strom und Wasser) haben wir insgesamt
- 888,57 Euro bezahlt.
Tadaaa = ➡️4058,98 Euro ⬅️
Euch allen jetzt erst mal frohe Ostern.
Bis zum nächsten Abenteuer, viele Grüße Mirja & Micha

Today was hiking day. First we visit the cave dwellings that were inhabited until 1960.
After that we did another 11 km hike through a small part of the semi-desert. Unfortunately, the signage wasn't great and we got lost several times

Tomorrow we continue towards Barcelona.

Wonderful 🤩

We are on our way to our next destination (Roses on the Costa Brava)

There we visited the Dalí Museum.
https://www.salvador-dali.org/en/
17 euros entry per person. The whole thing is super interesting. We spent a good 2 hours there and were fascinated and amused by the art 🙃 crazy guy. Was really worth it.

unfortunately it wasn't enough for sunbathing again today.

And here are the total costs for 2 months/2 people
Tadaaa = ➡️4058.98 euros ⬅️
