You can start your journey along the German Fairy Tale Route either from the south, in the birthplace of the Brothers Grimm in Hanau, or from north to south. We start our fairy tale trip in the north, in Bremen, the city of famous city musicians. To top it all off, we finally find ourselves in Hanau.

Via Hoya (the Count of Hoya and the dwarves) and Nienburg (the little Nienburger), we reach the city of Hameln - the pied piper city in the Weserbergland. The colorful man with the feather hat can still be seen today.

was lovingly awakened by your prince with a kiss after a hundred years of sleep in the Sleeping Beauty Castle Sababurg.
The castle can be visited today and offers a restaurant, a registry office and a small theater. The castle is open all year round. You can also explore the outdoor area with the Lustgarten, the Brothers Grimm Monument, the Palas Ruin and the tower.
The Sababurg Zoo is located at the foot of the Sleeping Beauty Castle Sababurg. It is open daily all year round.

The city is closely linked to the Brothers Grimm, who lived and researched here for many years. The fairy tale contributor Dorothea Viehmann told them many fairy tales here, which can now be found in her world-famous book "Children's and Household Tales" (UNESCO World Documentary Heritage). Originals of the works, as well as a lot of other information about fairy tales and the Brothers Grimm, can be found in the Museum GRIMMWELT Kassel.
The KASSEL Camping campsite (Giessenalle 9) was reopened at Documenta in the summer, and there should also be a new motorhome parking space next year. Opening times: currently winter break,

was lovingly awakened by your prince with a kiss after a hundred years of sleep in the Sleeping Beauty Castle Sababurg.
The castle can be visited today and offers a restaurant, a registry office and a small theater. The castle is open all year round. You can also explore the outdoor area with the Lustgarten, the Brothers Grimm Monument, the Palas Ruin and the tower.
The Sababurg Zoo is located at the foot of the Sleeping Beauty Castle Sababurg. It is open daily all year round.
