Istria for relaxing and sightseeing

Early in the morning at 11 a.m. we set off towards Bavaria.

We were lucky, despite the occupied sign, we still got a place in the cowshed across from the loudly squawking parrots. For 14, - plus that was ok.

Our favorite on Lake Ossiachersee with a fantastic view of the lake and the mountains from every terrace space. The bike tour around the lake is 25 km. Swim a lap in the lake from the campsite in the morning, then rent a SUP. WiFi reception is also good. The restaurant on the square is recommended, say the neighbors.
I think €30 plus electricity is fair.

Day 2 at camp. The swimming pool is very nice and relatively large for a camp. Most pitches are very shady and spacious.

Day 3. The sanitary facilities are cleaned several times a day. The center of Umag is 10 minutes by bike

A huge camping park for 10,000 people. But that's not so noticeable, because everything is very spacious. The personal space is also very large. ADAC club card holders get a 10% discount. The pitch costs €45 including electricity and water. I like it well here, although I usually prefer small places.

A bus picked us up at the camping park and brought us to our ship in Novigard. We spent a lovely few hours there, sightseeing in Rovinj and going to a fjord for lunch. The mangle with salad was delicious and the wine tasted good. After cooling off in the sea we went back. For 36, - € that was a nice thing. The 9 hours were too long for children.

On our boat trip I wrote about a mangle to eat, it should be called mackerel. We cycle a lot and the “ADAC Trips” app helps us a lot to find sights. For shopping we go to Novigrad or Umag. On the way you will also find olive farmers who produce their delicious oil themselves.

As with any campsite, you can read a lot of things online. So I confine myself to other things. The beach section is about 3 kilometers long. There are concrete sections, some with pebbles, a natural beach with boulders and some sunbathing areas. In some difficult places, stairs into the sea are installed. I also think the camp is ideal for children, no matter what age group.
For romantics there is a cozy bar in the very south of the complex with decent live music in the evening. For practical campers: in sanitary area 4 there are dishwashers, washing machines, dryers and an ironing board.

Which annoys me a bit here, even for a sun lounger by the pool they charge money. Or table tennis with your own racket costs €2.50. That by the way.
Swimming in the sea was a bit difficult today with the high waves. It also rained heavily last night and in the pouring rain I had to reinforce the anesthetic with side parts.
We only have a few days left and will make up for the south of Croatia next time.

We like the CP better and better. Swimming alone in the pool early in the morning, feasting on a delicious fish platter at lunchtime, listening to live music at a bar in the evening.

On our way home we stayed in the parking lot of Hotel Jägerhof in Flachau. The place is free, you should go to the restaurant to eat, tourist tax €2.20
We drive a motorhome with 4.50 tons. With the GO-Box we needed €45 for the one-way route through Austria. In Slovenia we used the DarsGo box for €32 one way.

It's always nice to stroll through the Viktualienmarkt, visit the Deutsches Museum and feast at Eataly.
Watching the surfers on the Isar, that's not the Isar, but I don't know the name of the tributary. There is a campsite in Thalkirchen, but we don't like it. The camper pitches in the Olympic Center fit better.

Back home. It was scenic and the people super friendly. Croatia, we'll be back, but then we'll go towards Split.

That's just how it is as a camper, we don't drive home yet, but spend two more days in beautiful Schwäbisch Hall on the Auwiesen pitch. The place is free, but electricity and water are charged.
