Sweden free 2020 from Trelleborg to Fjällnäs - 5 weeks / 35 days - 3,200 km

We reached our destination Idre earlier than expected and drove 125km further north to Fjällnas. - The track is beautiful and worth it. Sweden is forested up to Idre, then it goes into the mountains - trees give way, moors and bushes characterize the landscape, as well as reindeer. >> 4G LTE - all seats had such good reception that we were always able to stream. Radio has mostly been replaced by streaming ... so you can get by without a satellite system. Many don't work anymore in central Sweden anyway... >> Buy a fishing license for all waters online at iFiske.se ... Pay with Paypal or credit card. The fishing license is sent electronically as a PDF/email. No membership, no hidden fees First tour with our new Dethleffs Trend Edition with two adults and a 6 month old child. Let's see if the Trend Edition meets our requirements. Right before the trip we had to go to the dealer again (400km) - Defective Truma heating and incorrectly connected Duo Control - incorrectly adjusted door and rear-view mirror which fell off after a few km... — we hope he can keep up the planned 5000km across Sweden >> Update: after 1200km the water pump sounds very strange... let's see if it holds up. After about 250L it shouldn't break yet? Update: pump is broken grr

On the first day there were 6 mobile homes, on the second day there were two of us right by the lake.

Official bathing place with garbage station.

Very gently sloping shore, very good bathing opportunities.

The last kilometers are on a well-developed gravel road, even for large vehicles.
Space for 4-5 vehicles.

*Great spot for fishing - rainbow trout. Locals also come here to fish and swim.

Small parking lot with barbecue hut at the end of a path.

! The road gets so narrow on the last approx. 750 that it is not possible to avoid it. For the way back, we decided that someone would go to the first passing point and make sure that no vehicle came in the opposite direction.

A beautiful hiking trail starts here, after a few hundred meters a view of the moor.

Day 14
Stellplatz direkt am Wasser
Mörkret
A few km away from Sweden's highest waterfall, which is located in Naturum Fulufjällets nationalpark, we found a nice little spot right by the river with a few fire pits.

After a few hundred meters from the Fjällstation you are in the middle of nature. ( Good shoes required)

If you want to spend the night here with the Womo, you have to reserve in advance. In addition, the place costs 300SEK - far too expensive.

So we drove on

Beautifully situated on the lake with a mountain panorama.

A well-developed gravel road leads to the mountains.
The view is breathtakingly beautiful and enhanced by some reindeer.

(Which stay in the shade of the mobile homes at 29 degrees)

The square and the road are very easy to drive on when dry - I would avoid this place/route in heavy rain.

Enough space for more than 15 mobile homes.

On the way here you pass through a Sami village.
Here you can buy fresh and frozen reindeer products.
Reindeer salami for 60 SEK tastes good.

>> mosquitoes

Along the canal there are still some very nice places without electricity.

Without electricity 200 SEK - washing machine + dryer are included in the price, as are the showers.

- Very nice place even when it rained, so we stayed 2 nights

freeontour
freeontour 4 years ago
